As with all emerging markets, many have said mortgages in Cape Verde are a little harder to come by when perhaps compared to established markets such as Spain, yet this situation is improving day by day.

Some banks will offer stage payment financing but normally they are granted upon completion, i.e. the buyer funds the payments and a 70% mortgage is granted on signing.

  • Available for residential and commercial property
  • 70% mortgages for non-residents
  • Bank arrangement fee approximately 1.25%
